The THEME for Saturday, September 12th: “OF QUIET BIRDS…“ Join us on the 14th anniversary of the day following 9/11. With poetry readings and themes dealing with the aftermath of 9/11 and the world we live in now, we’d like to hear your poetry of triumph, your poems of healing and those of self expression. Share your poems, personal stories, prose, and your recollection of where you were on that day. Will we ever be the same?

If you think you have what it takes to “WAX POETIC,” register for our event and take the challenge. At the end of the night the audience will vote, and the winner will be take home a prize.
Poets are welcome to read their own work, or participants can read select poetry of their choice; however, only poets who read their own original work will be able to compete in the contest. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Ticket sales close at 8:45 p.m. on the night of the event. Everyone will have the opportunity to participate. Poems are limited to 3 minutes.
Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and there will be no waiting in line, simply present your proof of payment for entry.
BRING FOOD, BRING A BEVERAGE, BRING YOUR POETRY & LET’S HAVE SOME FUN!!
Snacks, non-alcoholic beverages and poetry books will be available for sale at the event for anyone who’s on the run.
